Kathleen Nevill, Owner
Kathleen didn't mean to do this. Working as a counselor for a regional community services board after college, she found a home and lifelong friends in Charlottesville. But the road beckoned... Armed with a backpack and a hostel guide, she found herself in Australia and New Zealand, then back in the States for a grand tour of the American Southwest. But the Blue Ridge was calling. She returned to Charlottesville and became a bench jeweler, eventually managing one of the top stores in town. After meeting Carter, she decided to strike out on her own, and the rest is history...
Kathleen enjoys time with family and friends, exercise, and the occasional triathlon. She still answers the call of the road when the timing is right..
Carter Nevill, Owner
Carter graduated from the University of Virginia with a major in English Literature and a minor in Women's Studies. Armed with these credentials from Mr. Jefferson's college, he began his true education as a ladder runner at the C&O Restaurant in Charlottesville. A decade peddling wine created in Carter a deep passion for South African vineyards and the Cape Town region. He continues to explore his culinary muse, foraging for mushrooms and diving into recipes - the more complicated the better.
Carter is an avid cyclist, a fan of street art and Luis Buñuel movies, and has a music collection filled with artists you've never heard of.
